Ultrasound Guided Vascular Access

This course covers the sonoanatomy and techniques to perform ultrasound guided vascular access. Topics cover basic ultrasound guided vascular access techniques and covers central venous access including the internal jugular and axillary vein cannulation, peripheral upper limb arterial and venous access, and femoral arterial and venous access. Demonstration videos are included showing how to perform these techniques.

This course is designed for anaesthetists, intensive care, emergency physicians and surgeons who wish to learn how to use point-of-care vascular ultrasound-guided techniques. You will learn access techniques for central vein line insertion, PICC lines, radial arterial cannulation and femoral vein and arterial cannulation using gel phantoms as the simulators.
