Consumer Sentiment Index: Quarterly DATA (Subscription) – $968.00 AUD (incl. GST)

The Consumer Sentiment Index (CSI) is an average of five component indexes. The sub-indexes reflect consumers' views about their household financial situation over the past and the next 12 months; their expectations of economic conditions over the next 12 months and the next 5 years; and their buying intentions about major household items.

Households are surveyed, each quarter, about the wisest place for their savings (for example, should they deposit their savings in banks, buy shares, pay off debt, or spend it). They are also asked about news they have heard.

This data set contains the quarterly time series data (from March 1995 to present) of the Wisest Places for Australia as well as disaggregated by state, and the quarterly time series data (from March 1998 to present) of the News Heard INDEX for Australia.
