PAYMENT OF COURSE FEES -Full payment of the course fee must be made upon enrolment. Once enrolling online, confirmation of your payment will be sent via email in the form of a tax receipt. Please note for taxation purposes: If you are planning to pay and enrol more than one participant in a course (i.e. you are enrolling yourself and a colleague) please be aware that only ONE tax receipt will be issued in the name of the enrolling participant/credit card holder. Individual tax receipts are not issued unless enrolling (1) one person at a time. The Melbourne Dental School cannot issue separatereceipts at a later date for multiple person enrolments. You will be sent a confirmation email outlining your course enrolment. The course fee includes your registration, use of dental equipment, as specified and incidental materials.
CONTACT DETAILS - Please ensure you contact us as soon as possible if you update or change your contact details. Emailing is our main way of contacting you about the course/s you have enrolled in.
COVID-19 guidelines - Participants are asked to follow COVID-19 health and safety guidelines when attending Melbourne Dental Schoool CPD programs and observe social distancing rules, compulsory wearing of masks and hand sanitising as well as following other specific requirements which will be made available upon confirmation of enrolment.
WAITING LISTS - To have your name added to a course waiting list, email mds-cpd@unimelb.edu.au, including the course name, your name and contact details. Should a place become available, we will make our way through the waitlist until the place is filled. Full payment is required upon acceptance. Waitlists are not carried over from year to year.
CANCELLATIONS - You must inform the Continuing Professional Development Office, as soon as possible, by emailing mds-cpd@unimelb.edu.au so that your place can be offered to another applicant.
Online blended learning courses (online lectures and face to face sessions):
- If your Canvas account has not been activated (to gain access to the online lectures), a 100% refund will be offered minus a $50 cancellation fee.
- Once your Canvas account has been activated (to gain access to the online lectures), a 50% refund of the course fees will be offered should you
wish to cancel from the course. - If you are unable to attend the hands-on component, a 50% refund of the course fees will be offered.
- Cancellations made less than one week prior to the hands-on component or failure to attend/notify the CPD office prior to the scheduled date will
receive NO refund.
Online lectures only
- If your Canvas account has not been activated (to gain access to the online lectures), a 100% refund will be offered minus a $50 cancellation fee.
- Once your Canvas account has been activated (to gain access to the online lectures), NO refund of the course fees will be offered should you wish
to cancel from the course.
DISCLAIMER
- The Melbourne Dental School (MDS) reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate or reschedule any program. Should MDS exercise this right,
we will endeavour to notify delegates as early as possible to minimize inconvenience. A full refund of the course fees paid by the delegate for the
course will be offered and processed within 30 days of notification. - MDS will not accept any responsibility for travel and accommodation costs incurred by a delegate.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE - A Certificate of Attendance will be emailed to each participant at the end of the course with the associated CPD hours. The mandatory CPD scheme, as implemented by the Board, is self-regulatory. It is the responsibility of each participant to track the hours accrued by attending University courses on a log sheet for the current cycle.
CATERING - Light refreshments will be provided at our programs. Special dietary requirements will need to be requested ahead of attendance of our programs. We will endeavour to accomodate most dietary requirements however some specific requirements may not be able to be accomodated.

GST - All course fees include 10% GST in the total cost. For your tax purposes, upon payment, your receipt will show the GST amount. All receipts list the University ABN 84 002 705 224
HANDS-ON PROGRAMS - Generally, all equipment to be used at our hands-on courses will be supplied. Participants must bring their own magnification loupes and/or safety glasses which must be worn during any session in the pre-clinical laboratory and RDHM clinics.
VENUE AND LOCATION OF COURSES
Our courses are often held over several venues. Participants will be notified of exact venue and room allocations in advance of the course date.
Melbourne Dental School, 720 Swanston Street, Carlton
Car parking facilities are not available at the Melbourne Dental School. However, there is a tram stop right outside the main entrance. Melbourne Central Station is the closest railway station and there are numerous bus routes close by. For further information, call Metlink on 131 638. If driving, car parking is available on the corner of Cardigan Street, Wilson Parking on Elgin Street and the Clock Tower car park on Drummond Street. There is also metered parking available in the area.
