Step Into the Suit: Hands-On HAZMAT & PPE workshop
This intensive one-day workshop focuses on Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) protection and the utilization of Level C Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Led by experienced trainers from Ambulance Victoria and faculty members from the University of Melbourne's Department of Critical Care, the day combines interactive presentations and hands-on training, for donning, doffing, and working while wearing Level-C PPE, as well as a behind-the-scenes visit to the State Health Operations Centre.
Designed as part of the Advanced Toxicology and Terrorism subject, the workshop offers valuable insights for health professionals and clinical personnel looking to strengthen their readiness for toxicology emergencies, deliberate exposures, and mass-casualty scenarios.
