Do you work with multicultural communities? Or maybe with one specific cultural group? Would you like to deepen your professional practice?

Join us for a special two-hour Zoom presentation and workshop for certified Tuning in to Kids® and Tuning in to Teens™ facilitators led by Ann Harley.

Our presenter

Ann Harley developed and co-authored the original Tuning in to Kids® parenting program with Sophie Havighurst. Ann has a background in education, social research and counselling with over 40 years’ experience in parent education and support in a variety of community and cultural settings. This practical experience was one of the central elements in the development of the Tuning  in to Kids ® program. This was further supplemented by Ann’s Master of Education research in 2012, where she undertook a qualitative study with parents in the first Tuning in to Teens™ research trial which provided her with additional practical and theoretical ideas for the development of the Tuning in to Teens™ program as well as for Dads Tuning in to Kids™, and later Tuning in to Toddlers™.

From 2008-2020, Ann was the Training Manager of the suite of Tuning in to Kids facilitator training programs at Mindful, The University of Melbourne, providing specialist supervision and training to professionals nationally and internationally.

Ann is now a Program Consultant for the Tuning in to Kids ® suite of programs, having retired in 2020. She continues to contribute to program development and dissemination as well as specialist supervision.

Over two hours, Ann will look at how you can engage a broad range of families in our programs. There will be opportunities to meet other workers in this field and ask questions.

Join us to enrich your knowledge and gain practical tools to assist in working with CALD communities.
