LOTE Accreditation Examination 2026 - CHINESE
The examination for LOTE accreditation (Chinese) is conducted via Zoom in February, June and October each year. The exam will consist of a 1.5-hour written exam and a 20-30 minute individual oral assessment.
Applications close 7 days prior to the exam date.
The examination for LOTE accreditation (Chinese) is conducted online via Zoom in February, June and October each year. The 2026 exams have been scheduled for:
- Monday 2 February 2026
- Thursday 4 June 2026
- Thursday 29 October 2026
The exam consists of a 1.5-hour written test from 10:30 am, followed by a 20-30 minute oral assessment. The oral component required candidates to read aloud a passage in pinyin. Candidates are also expected to know simplified characters.
Registered candidates will be contacted via SMS or email one week before the exam to arrange an individual oral exam time. Exam details including Zoom link and the confirmed oral exam time will be sent closer to the date.
Applications and payment must be submitted no later than 7 days before the exam date. Payment can only be made by credit card.
You can receive a full refund if you cancel your exam registration by emailing asia-institute@unimelb.edu.au before the applications closing date. Please note that the credit card processing fee is non-refundable.
