Clinical Psychiatry Course - Half Course Payment
The Clinical Psychiatry Course (RANZCP FEC) is a non-award, attendance-based program designed for those seeking to deepen their clinical expertise without the pressure of formal exams or assessments. Delivered by Melbourne’s foremost psychiatrists and accredited by RANZCP, the course explores recent advances in contemporary practice.
Participants will learn from leading clinicians, educators, and researchers, gaining exposure to real-world case discussions, evidence-based approaches, and essential frameworks that underpin effective psychiatric care.
Teaching is delivered in-person at the University of Melbourne’s Parkville campus, with an option to join online. The hybrid model combines face-to-face learning with interactive online components, offering flexible access to high-quality education regardless of location.

Course Structure:
Each subject runs for 20 weeks, with a two-week break in between:
Year 1
- Principles of Core Psychiatry I
- Principles of Core Psychiatry I
Year 2
- Specialist Areas in Psychiatry I
- Specialist Areas in Psychiatry II
Year 3
- Advanced Psychiatry I
- Advanced Psychiatry II
Practice OCA workshops and practice exam workshops occur at the end of each subject.
Certification:
A certificate will be provided upon satisfactory completion of the course.
Cost:
The cost of the entire course is $10,500. This option allows you to enrol for half of the full course ($5,250).
HECS and Fee-Help do not apply to this course.

Enrolment responsibilities:
- Students attending online are required to keep their cameras on for the duration of the session. Please sign in with your full name for attendance records
- Emails must be checked a minimum of twice a week for course updates and communications
- Notify the administration team if you wish to withdraw or take a leave of absence via email: psychiatry-education@unimelb.edu.au
Enrolment deadline:
Friday 30 January 2026
Course withdrawals must be submitted by the census date of the subject in which you are currently enrolled. Withdrawals submitted after the census date will not be eligible for a refund for that subject.
Approved course withdrawals will receive a refund, minus a 5% administrative fee for each subject not yet completed.
